The Dynasphere is prepared on the roof - upper termination and ERICORE are attached, finial is screwed into place and FRP mast fitted The Dynasphere is elevated into position and installed by securing the insulated FRP mast alongside the antenna support mast using U bolts Upper installation complete ERICORE down conductor cable routed to the ground using the most direct path. Note the smooth curves to reduce inductance.
Trenching to ground rod system Preparation of the ERICORE downconductor cable to effect the lower termination Outer copper sheath and inner copper conductor are exposed. HV dielectric is removed and metalic conductors twisted together A metal sleeve is inserted over the copper sheath and inner copper current carrying conductors
The sleeve is inserted into the graphite mold and the mold is placed over the ground rod CADWELD exothermic weld completed Apply mastic tape so as to cover joint and prevent water egress up the cable sheath through capillary action The Lightning Event Counter (LEC) is secured to the ERICORE down conductor
